Hello and happy first of June! I’m not sure how May slipped away so quickly but I’ve been busy with a new job, hence the silence around these parts. Etsy seems fairly quiet throughout this season but I’m keen to put lots more time and effort into it again now that I’ve adjusted to a new schedule.
Aside from the usual orders during the past month, I had a special custom request to make a hoop in memory of a precious little bunny. Megan contacted me after losing Brock and I immediately wanted to help as best as I could to create something for her to remember him by. I found this lovely yellow polka dot cotton to fit the colour scheme of Megan’s rabbit shed and stitched the bunny and name in black thread. It now hangs on this beautifully arranged wall in her space.
I really love the outcome of this piece and Megan was extremely happy with her memorial hoop. Aside from the obviously upsetting circumstances, I am incredibly grateful that a complete stranger would approach me to make something so important for them. Bunnies have a special place in my heart and I know the sadness that comes with losing one, or any pet for that matter. But it’s the meaningful and unique pieces like this one that make me truly love what I do and appreciate all the wonderful people that choose to buy something from me. I’m so very glad that Megan has something to look at that will bring her joy and happy memories of little Brock.
