NEW WOVEN WALL HANGINGS

If you’ve seen my Learning to Weave post then you’ll know how I’ve spent most of my time lately. So here are my first few woven wall hangings, all of which will be popping up in my Etsy shop throughout the week. There are plenty more to come so I’ll be sharing them in little batches now and then. Don’t forget you can also follow me on Instagram for regular updates!

“Mini Chevron”

This little one was made using a pretty colour palette of purple, slate grey, cream and white, and measures 26 cm x 22 cm. This was my first time experimenting with the chevron weave and I love the result. I’ll definitely be using this technique a lot more in future wall hangings!

“Pebbles”

This one was made using a beautiful colour palette of purple, slate grey, soft pebble tones and pastel blue, and is probably my favourite one so far. It measures 46 cm x 21 cm and is full of texture and fun techniques. This was my first use of the pile/ loop weave (the blue section) and I think it’s another technique that I’ll keep going back to.

“Roots”

This last one has an earthy colour palette of browns, greys and turmeric/ mustard, and measures 34 cm x 26 cm. It reminds me of roots and leaves in autumn. How beautiful is that turmeric shade?!

Let me know which wall hanging is your favourite!
