Custom orders are my absolute favourite thing to work on. So when a very lovely lady, who has been following my Facebook page for quite some time, asked me if I could make a natural coloured owl with a floral bow tie, I was super duper excited.

Of course I enjoy spending my time making and shipping out my creations and it’s extremely rewarding to know that other people love my work, but making the same things again and again can sometimes get a little repetitive. Every once in a while it’s incredibly exciting and refreshing when someone comes to you with an idea that they would like you to bring to life, even if it’s just a spin on a current design such as a different colour or fabric. It helps to mix up my routine and keep my creative mind satisfied, as well as giving the buyer something more personal and unique.

After discussing the initial idea for this new owl I visited my nearby fabric shop and snapped tonnes of pictures of all the lovely florals I could find, so my customer could choose her favourite. I couldn’t be happier with how he turned out!

I’m currently working on updating the fabric choices for bow ties on my owl listings and floral prints are definitely something I’m now keen to introduce. Some new products will also be popping up in the next couple of weeks, so keep an eye out for those!
